Tell us a little about yourself.

I come from a family of 13 children, 9 boys and 3 girls. Never a dull moment in our house! I think it’s probably the reason I love being around people all the time. I’ve always loved trying new things, new foods, seeing new places. I have two boys with my beautiful wife Joeanna, they are extremely adventurous and competitive like myself. We always love to make things a contest and push our limits.

How did you get started in IT?

Why did you choose to work at Velo?

Because a friend of mine, Ryan Earles, told me what it was like working at Velo. When he described the culture, the leadership, the vision, I knew I had to work there. To me, nothing’s quite as strong as a personal referral. And when I met the team, I saw people with the same values as mine, people that wanted to push the limit, serve others, and never stop moving the goals higher.

What do you consider your greatest strength?

Persistence. When I lock on something, I refuse to quit until I get it. I do not give up, no matter how unlikely the odds, I keep pushing.

Favorite quote?

“I never lose. I either win or I learn.” – Nelson Mandela
